What To Expect
Sunday morning worship begins at 10:15 AM.
Centerpoint is a very informal church. Most of the people there will be dressed very casually…jeans and shorts are completely okay. When you walk into our building, you’ll be greeted by friendly people at our welcome center, just inside the front doors. Someone will hand you a church bulletin which contains announcements and this week’s sermon notes.
At our church, children go to their classrooms before the worship service begins. Childcare is provided in our education wing for infants and children all the way up through fifth grade. A greeter will help you find where to take your kids. Well-prepared teachers will be waiting in their classrooms. Your kids will be taught age-appropriate lessons from the excellent Children Desiring God curriculum. Infants and toddlers will remain in the back throughout the service, and the older kids will be brought back to the sanctuary by their teachers to join us during musical worship.
Before service starts, expect our lobby and sanctuary to look like a big family reunion. A short time of musical worship will begin our service, followed by announcements and then the message. (we preach early in the service, which is a little different…but we like it!) Following the message there will be a time of response which transitions into a longer time of musical worship. Our worship style is very contemporary, usually featuring a full band. Our worship is also very informal and free. You will some people standing and raising their hands, while others remain seated in prayer or reflection. Our service typically ends between 11:45 to 12 noon.
We hope you’ll come see us soon. Please give a call or drop us an email with any questions.
